Lives on the chiquita
A padel team that plays off the glass. League nights, friendlies and far too many bandejas.
Tap the court to smash a winner
15 The start
Four friends, one late booking and a borrowed racket. We lost that first match 6–0, 6–1 and booked the same court for the next week before we'd left the car park.
Now we're a full squad of eight. We play the local league, host friendlies, and train twice a week whatever the weather does to the glass.
We play attacking padel: take the net, finish with the smash, and when it comes back off the wall, play it again. Everyone trains, everyone plays, and the post-match round is not optional.
30 The pairs
Padel is a doubles game, so we pick, train and play as pairs. Revés on the left, drive on the right.
